VenueSnap LLC ("VenueSnap," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and safeguard information when you use our mobile applications, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• The VenueSnap Android application
• The VenueSnap website
• Any web-based services operated by VenueSnap LLC that reference this Privacy Policy

By accessing or using the Services, or by creating an account, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

2. Information We Collect

A. Information You Provide

Depending on how you use the Services, you may provide:

• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Account credentials (managed through our authentication provider)
• Contact Venue requests
• Contact Venue notes or messages
• Business listing information
• Venue descriptions
• Photos uploaded by businesses
• Business operating hours
• Business contact information

B. Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect device information, log information, diagnostic information, authentication events, IP address, browser and operating-system information, and other usage information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Services.

We currently use operational logging to help diagnose issues, improve reliability, and maintain the security of the Services.

C. Location Information

If you choose to use features such as "Near Me," the Services may request access to your device's location to help you discover nearby venues or events.

We do not currently store your location history. Location information used for "Near Me" functionality is used to provide the requested feature and is not retained as a location history.

We use information to:

• Create and manage accounts
• Authenticate users
• Respond to customer support requests
• Improve the Services
• Detect and prevent fraud or misuse
• Maintain security
• Comply with legal obligations

4. How Information Is Shared

We do not sell your personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may share information in the following situations:

With Businesses

When you submit a contact request, we share the information necessary for the business to respond, including your contact information and any information you choose to include in your request.

With Service Providers

We use trusted service providers to operate portions of the Services, including:

• Netlify (website hosting)
• Squarespace (domain registration and DNS)
• Resend (transactional email delivery)
• Google Workspace (business communications)
• Google Analytics (SEO and website traffic data)

These providers receive information reasonably necessary to perform the services they provide and may process information on VenueSnap's behalf subject to their applicable agreements and privacy practices.

Business Relationships and Other Disclosures

In addition to the disclosures described above, we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to operate the Services, protect VenueSnap and its users, enforce our agreements, prevent fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets. We may also disclose information when you direct us to do so or when otherwise permitted or required by law.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, comply with legal obligations, or protect the safety of our users or others.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to help protect personal information.

• Secure HTTPS connections
• User authentication through Supabase Authentication
• Access controls that limit users to information they are authorized to access
• Role-based database security

No method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and VenueSnap cannot guarantee that unauthorized persons will never defeat those measures.

Security Incident Notice

If VenueSnap determines that a security incident has occurred involving personal information, VenueSnap will provide notice as required by applicable law.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, maintain legitimate business records, and protect the security and integrity of the Services.

Generally:

• User accounts remain active until deleted by the user.
• Request history may be retained for legitimate business operations, customer-service purposes, dispute resolution, and historical records, subject to applicable law.
• Business listings remain active until removed by the business or VenueSnap.
• Business photos are removed when the associated listing or business account is deleted.
• Operational logs may be retained as needed for troubleshooting, security, and operational purposes.
• All contracts and agreements shall be retained for as long as reasonably necessary.
• Your IP address may be retained for verification and security purposes.

Deletion and De-Identification

When information is no longer reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, VenueSnap may delete, aggregate, or de-identify it, subject to legal, security, dispute-resolution, and legitimate business-record requirements.

7. Your Choices

Depending on your use of the Services, you may:

• Change your password.
• Request deletion of your account.

8. Children's Privacy

Consistent with our Terms of Service, the Services require users to be at least 18 years old. The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from someone under 18, we will take steps to delete that information. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us at support@getvenuesnap.com.

9. Additional Rights for U.S. State Residents

VenueSnap does not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes. We also do not knowingly use personal information in a manner that would require us to provide a financial incentive for its collection or disclosure.

We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the time period required by applicable law. If we deny a request, we will explain the basis for the denial to the extent required by law and provide any available appeal process.

Appeals and Authorized Agents

Where required by applicable law, you may appeal a denial of a privacy-rights request by contacting support@getvenuesnap.com. Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf, subject to reasonable verification of the request and the agent's authority.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

When we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
